The Reverend Debra Kissinger

Picture of Debra Kissinger

The Rev. Debra Kissinger is a member of the diocesan staff in the Diocese of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she has oversight of the diocesan childrens ministries and has been liaison to the Evangelism and Stewardship Committees. Debra is the first and only Child Advocate raised up by a diocese following the adoption of the Childrens Charter for the Church adopted at General Convention 1997. She has appeared before Congress and her state legislature. Ordained in 1992, Debra served in congregational ministries in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Ohio prior to joining the diocesan staff in 2001. She is a graduate of Penn State University with an AS in Business Administration, LaSalle University in Philadelphia with a BA in Sociology, and has a Master of Divinity from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. An accomplished ice skater, we've assured her there will be plenty of ice for her and her daughter Emma-Li in Maine.
