From The Reverend Steve Lane
|
I’ve been married thirty-one years to Gretchen, a
lifelong Episcopalian, who teaches science to troubled high school
students. We have three children, Dana, Emily and Jeremy. Dana is a
physicist who teaches at the University of Delaware.
Emily works as ministry coordinator for her Episcopal parish. Dana and
Emily and their husbands each have two children. Jeremy is working in a
bicycle sales and repair shop in
Philadelphia.

Gretchen and I are avid gardeners and hikers. Our
favorite vacation site is Caspian Lake
in Vermont,
where my family has owned a summer camp for nearly one hundred years.
We’re both avid readers. Gretchen’s a mystery fan. I tend toward
non-fiction and history. We both enjoy fantasy. We also both enjoy
singing in church choirs. I’m a great fan of American roots music and
have been learning to play the guitar over the past several years.
Gretchen and I share a love of theater and the arts and are season
ticket holders for our local equity theater company. We take in the
occasional movie and concert as time permits.

Family life is very important to us, and family
members are spread from Missouri to New England.
We travel to celebrate many family occasions. Visits to see growing
grandchildren are an increasing priority.
