Prior to beginning his work in Maine on April 1, 2008, Lane served as Canon for Deployment and Ministry Development in the Diocese of Rochester, New York, where he has responsibilities for formation, ordination and deployment of clergy, as well as social justice issues and the Safe Church training program.
